dynamicsync.online sets no cookies. This page explains what that means, what happens instead, and why there is no consent banner on this site.

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file that a website asks a browser to store and send back on later visits, which lets the site recognise the same browser over time. Cookies can be set by the site being read or by a third party whose code the site loads, such as an analytics or advertising provider.

This site sets none

No cookie is set by dynamicsync.online, and no third party is permitted to set one through it. Specifically, there is no analytics cookie, no advertising or remarketing cookie, no conversion or tracking pixel, no session identifier, no preference cookie, no social media embed and no A/B testing tool. No script from any third party runs on any page of this site, and no font, stylesheet, image or library is loaded from an external host, so nothing outside this site is contacted while a page is read.

Because there is nothing to consent to, there is no cookie banner and no consent tool. A banner on a site that sets no cookies would be telling readers something untrue about how the site behaves.

Also absent: browser storage and fingerprinting

This site uses no localStorage, no sessionStorage and no IndexedDB. Nothing is written to the browser and nothing is read from it. No attempt is made to identify a browser by its characteristics — no canvas, font, screen or device fingerprinting of any kind is performed.

The only JavaScript on this site is a single first-party file that opens and closes the navigation menu on small screens. It is short, readable and unminified; it stores nothing, sends nothing anywhere, and does not alter any link on the page.

What happens instead

One record exists, and it is the same one that exists for every website. The web server delivering this site writes an ordinary log line for each request, containing the IP address the request came from, the browser’s user agent string, the URL requested, the time and the response code. These logs are held by the hosting provider engaged by BOGIREN s.r.o., are used for security and diagnosing faults, and are retained for up to 12 months. They are not cookies: nothing is stored on or read from the reader’s device to create them. The privacy policy describes them in full, including the cross-border disclosure that arises because the provider is located outside Australia.

Blocking or clearing cookies anyway

Nothing on this site requires any change to browser settings, but every major browser allows cookies to be blocked, limited to first-party only, or cleared, usually under a privacy or site-data section of its settings. Clearing cookies affects other sites — it commonly signs a person out of services they use — and has no effect at all on dynamicsync.online, which stores nothing to clear.

The Office of the Australian Information Commissioner publishes general guidance for consumers on online privacy, and the Australian Cyber Security Centre publishes practical advice on browser and device settings for people who want to review theirs.

If this ever changes

If a cookie, an analytics tool or any third-party script were ever introduced to this site, three things would happen before the first cookie was set: this page would be rewritten to list what is used, by whom and for how long; the privacy policy would be updated to match; and a working consent mechanism would be in place, so that non-essential cookies were set only after a reader agreed. The effective date at the top of this page would change on the same day.

Until that happens, this page is a complete description of the position: no cookies, no storage, no third-party requests, no banner.
